A & Z are both bracelet girls. The more, the better. They both stand for doing the right thing through hope and positivity. So, they married the two to create bracelets that empower change. 100% of the proceeds from the sales of this collection are donated to the efforts of Black Lives Matter. Their goal is to continue the momentum to bring justice, equality, and freedom to all black people. A & Z believe that change starts with them and the power is with the people. They view it as a fight that can’t take place alone or in a silo and when everyone collectively band together to fight against a history of oppression, we will begin to see progress happen. We will see equality circumvent inequities, justice overturn prejudice and love beat out fear.
They are hoping that the saying "wear your heart on your sleeve" will one day be synonymous with “wear your commitment on your wrist”. “We hope that people wear our bracelets with pride knowing that they are part of a rising - a plea for humanity,” said Z.
The new brand is gaining popularity and one of their recent customers said it best - BAND TOGETHER is "a constant reminder to myself as well as an open statement of my support" towards Black Lives Matter.
So far, BAND TOGETHER has been met with amazing support from everyone and from people of all different backgrounds and races. “It’s been nice to experience and drives our passion for this project,” commented A. “Our non-black friends and family want to know how they can show their solidarity and use their voice to incite change. It's also important for us to uphold our black community and stand with them to be the change we want to see in this world,” she elaborated.
Just like the current movement taking place all over the world, A & Z are just at the beginning phase. They’re focused on the fight today to dismantle racism. Z wants everyone to know that they will continue to stand up for what they believe in and pull up for their community and the world they live in. “From clean water to health care, women's equality to LGBTQIA issues - we have a lot more to say and do.
