HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE:
(Opens July 8) Taika Waititi creates a sublime and heartfelt story about the need for family and love. A troubled teen orphan (Julian Dennison) is dropped off with his new family, but as an unexpected tragic event occurs, he finds himself mismatched with his curmudgeon of a foster father (Sam Neill) on an adventure through the Bush Country of New Zealand. It's ridiculously humorous, fun and lighthearted, yet endearing in all the right places. And somehow they manage to include a gun-toting social worker, car and helicopter chase scenes and some of the most “majestical" scenery imaginable. Watch Waititi talk about the script in this video.
