Now that summer is here, it’s the season of rooftops, new restaurants and bars galore. But living in a big city like Chicago, where there are new bars, restaurants, lounges and rooftops opening left and right, it can get a little overwhelming. Thanks to Urban Daddy’s “What’s Your Next Move?” local entertainment app, you have the luxury of a digital concierge right at your fingertips. And if you’re a millennial like me who's always on the go, this app is a God--send.
After hearing a friend on Snapchat talk about how Urban Daddy’s “What’s Your Next Move?” app helped him and his friends find the perfect spot to check out while out on the town, I downloaded it immediately. With a simple click, I selected what I was interested in doing and who I was with. Right before my eyes, the app hand-picked a list of some of the hottest places near me, complete with venue descriptions, photos and GPS-powered directions to get you to your destination pronto!
It’s through this app that I discovered my new favorite restaurant Travelle, an upscale mediterranean restaurant and luxe lounge located on the second floor of the Langham Hotel. My night at Travelle ended with amazing cocktails like the Clover Club (a perfect mix of death’s door gin, raspberry rich simple and lemon juice) and the Monte Carlo (templeton rye, benedictine, orange and botanically infused angostura bitters). The delicious culinary cocktails were followed by Crispy Octopus, Hamachi Crudo, Grilled Ribeye, and a Cheesecake Mousse dessert topped with guava sorbet. With the spectacular river views, this spot is perfect for the summer season. Let’s just say my boyfriend and I had a serious food coma by the end of the night. If you’re in Chicago, this is a must “go to” I highly recommend.
It feels good to know that there’s an app that understands the yearning of millennials out there looking to conveniently plan the perfect night and discover what their city has to offer. And it's great to know that life just got a tad bit easier.
