After creating the world’s largest database for independent artists, tech entrepreneur Eric Sheinkop now wants you to become a shopping hero.

Imagine you’re having cocktails or dinner with a group of friends and somehow the conversation starts to turn towards launching a new business. Everyone at the table always wanted to start one, but no one has ever taken the leap of faith. All of a sudden an impromptu brainstorming session begins as another round of drinks arrive and ideas and are being thrown across the table like water balloons. Everyone starts to get excited, as more and more details are added. By the end of the dinner and several cocktails later, you and your comrades are convinced that you all have masterminded a way to save the world. You think to yourselves, “How come no one else has thought of this yet?” You make a commitment to each other to pursue this unbelievable idea together and the commitment is sealed with pinky swears and fist bumps. However, because of your busy lives, during the next few weeks the idea starts to slowly fade from everyone’s minds and by the time your next social outing comes around your brilliant concept has been launched by someone else. However, not to be discouraged, your group starts at it again and a new brainstorming session is initiated and saving the world is right back on the table. Well, we call that the “snooze you lose” syndrome, but hey…it happens right?
Well, lucky for independent artists, major corporations and shoppers, that entrepreneur Eric Sheinkop didn’t procrastinate on his brilliant ideas or else we all may still be trying to figure some things out. Although relatively young, Sheinkop is a seasoned technology CEO and best-selling author. He sold his first company, Music Dealers, to Coca-Cola and is positioned to change the way we all shop with his new tech company desirelist. I had the privilege to participate on a speakers’ panel with Eric earlier this year and was blown away by his music and tech knowledge, success and calm persona. But recently I dove a little deeper to see what led him down the path he has taken and asked him to provide a little more knowledge about his successes and challenges that could help any startup business.
