As for concealer—oh no, not the wrong shade! Usually, it’s too light so that rather than concealing the dark circles, it draws attention to them! Some of us call it raccoon eyes. When choosing a concealer, try to go one shade lighter than your foundation and pat away. Be sure to pick a concealer that is going to keep your under—eye moist. My personal favorite is by Josie Maran. It is ultra creamy, hydrating and gives full coverage. Free yourself from those dark circles and blemishes!

Now for the eye shadow. Eye shadow is a colored cosmetic, typically in powder form, applied to the eyelids or the skin around the eyes to accentuate them. And I repeat, ACCENTUATE THEM. Wearing the wrong eyeshadow will not enhance your eye color and won't make them pop. Go for the opposite of your eye color. For the blue and green eyed, try bronze, plum, golds or terracottas. For the hazel and brown eyes of the world, try blues purples and greys.

A big no-no: overdoing lip liner! Lip liners always get a bad rap, but when used correctly, they are a great to tool to enhance the lips and keep lipsticks from feathering. But be careful! Dark, heavy lip liner is a very dated look, and it ages you. You should match your lip liner closest to your lipstick or gloss color Try one of my favorites: MakeUpForever waterproof lipliner. It is waterproof, creamy, pigmented and extremely long-lasting.

Imperfection is a form of freedom. Embrace those wrinkles; don't let them define you. Let those beautiful freckles shine like a smiling face, and free yourself from make-up trends that we've followed in our ridiculous effort to be perfect. Remember being unique is better than being perfect.
