This month’s FLM issue celebrates “freedom”. But what exactly does freedom mean to you? It can mean so many different things to different folks, such as freedom to travel, to be single, to vote, to protest, or to pursue your dreams. As you can judge by the photo above, my family and I recently had a great time in Los Angeles, CA freely exploring the beaches of Malibu and Santa Monica. Something so simple to us can be life changing to others. We’re very lucky to be able to speak, think, and act freely for the most part. However, sometimes I think that we take our freedoms for granted and don’t truly consider what others go through just to obtain a small amount of freedom. Once again our FLM contributors have done an amazing job and have expounded upon different topics that will spark a good debate with your friends and family. Our cover story features Heshima Kenya, an amazing organization that is truly helping refugee women and girls in Kenya to live freely. Life is all about giving back and helping others in need and I hope that this issue inspires you to do so as well. Enjoy and thank you for your support.
