What are your expectations for Fearless Authenticity as it reaches readers?

I don’t know what to expect! I hope it reaches them where they live and that they can see themselves in my stories or the stories of others I share in the book so they can use the concepts to change, grow and move past anything they feel has been holding them back.

What challenges did you face during the writing process, and how did they reflect the book’s themes?

I had some serious moments of imposter syndrome when I was working on the book. Even as I saw it coming together, I would go through phases when I asked myself who did I think I was to believe that what I had learned and wanted to share was important enough to be in a whole book. And that anybody would read it. One major theme of Fearless Authenticity is rejecting imposter syndrome for the lie it is, whether it shows up as believing things others have told us about who they think we are or when we give into believing our fears about the worst we might be. I used my own process on myself to kill that doubt and keep writing—even if it was still a big, scary thing to me. That’s what fearless means to me - being scared and doing it anyway. And there’s that saying that goes, “If your dreams don’t scare you, they’re not big enough.”
