Welcome to 2023. A new year. A new start. Fresh beginnings. Yada, yada, yada. Those are the things that we say or think to ourselves whenever January rolls around, but do we truly focus on leaving the past behind and focus on making serious changes in our lives? Probably not. And mostly because we still maintain the same mindset that we had the previous year. I’m a firm believer in that if we want to make significant changes for ourselves then it starts with adopting a different mindset.
Over the years, not by design, I discovered the more I visualize what I wanted to accomplish the more likely it would happen. It could take weeks, months, or even years, but at some point, I would reach my goal. I also learned that nothing goes as planned. There is always an obstacle that I’m confronted with or a roadblock that pops up but adjusting and adapting is a part of our growth that will only allow us to become better. If you’re hoping to get in shape this year adopt a mindset that will allow you to visualize what your body will look like in a few months. If you want to get a better job adopt a mindset that will help you network and prepare yourself for opportunities that may come your way. And if you want to improve your relationships adopt a mindset of humbleness, forgiveness, and openness that will attract others to you. Seek help, ask for help, and be prepared to help. Remember, no one accomplishes anything significant alone. I hope you have an awesome year.
