You may need to be more patient when you meet new people, because everyone is being overly cautious and taking more time to meet people in person. That doesn⭥an you don⮥ed to continue trying hard to get to know them over the phone, text, or even virtual meetings. Building a bond and a friendship can be a major plus when getting to know someone. Look at the positives in life and don⢥ too pushy to meet in person until the person is comfortable with it. I have helped a lot of successful relationships blossom by advising people to build and form a strong friendship over the phone and have virtual meetings. Sometimes not dismissing someone after a first in person date can help you give someone a chance to really get to know them on a deeper level.
Be open minded when someone new comes in your life. Give them a chance and donⷲite them off because they might not fit your exact preferences. We sometimes have narrow standards and then our pool of options is extremely limited. By being more open minded allows us to have other options that we wouldn⮯rmally have been open to.
Be transparent and let someone you are getting to know into your life. We form bonds and connections by understanding someone and finding likeminded interests and things in common with them. The only way we can find those things between two people is by really opening ourselves up and letting the person see the real you. Helping someone feel comfortable getting to know you will also make them more comfortable opening themselves up as well.
Communication is so important. Letting someone know what you need and want from them is critical. Miscommunications happen and sometimes you can⡳sume someone should know what you want or need from them. Instead, you need to let them know. So many times, I have clients wanting to throw in the towel because they don⨥ar or see the person enough and they feel they aren⧥tting enough attention. Give the other person the benefit of the doubt that they are in fact interested but just donⲥalize you need more from them. People are busy and donⷡnt to come off as too needy, so they take it slow. Instead of giving up, let them know what you would like from them and see if they meet your desired expectations.
