And finally, if horror films float your boat, two films in the Midnight section stand out: “Killing Ground” finds a young couple on a remote camping getaway that has all the red flags of impending doom. It’s a “violent thriller that will force you to think twice” the next time you venture out of the city. Then finally, “The Little Hours” features Aubrey Plaza, Alison Brie, and Kate Micucci as Medieval nuns lead by Father Tommasso (John C. Reilly) who brings in a supposed deaf-mute (Dave Franco) to discourage temptation. I can see it backfiring already! The film promises some wicked and off-kilter fun as only the comedic geniuses of this cast could conjure.
