Sleep more. While there may be no proof that too much sleep keeps you from getting sick, there are
numerous studies linking
insufficient sleep to heart
disease, diabetes, and obesity.
When you’re exhausted, how is
your sex life? How is your
mood? What about your
focus? Sleep deprivation
affects all these things
including your waistline.
Whether being tired simply
prevents you from wanting to
work out or make a healthy meal rather than settle for quick and easy fast food, the result is the same. For me, it seems the longer I sleep the more weight I can lose, the nicer I am and the healthier I look. Banish those bags under your eyes with regular good quality sleep.
My top fitness apps – 7 Minute Workout offers beginner, intermediate, advanced and quick workouts that you can do in order or shuffle in 30-60 second intervals. 30 Day Fit Challenge offers accountability and variety. And my current favorite, Treadmill Workout (there’s also one for elliptical machines), is a game changer for me. I hate mindlessly walking or jogging and this app just keeps me guessing. It’s like having a trainer there saying, “Now go faster, go backwards, now incline, 30 more seconds GO GO GO!” I’ve found that anytime I use a timer-based app (think Tabata Timers) I tend to push harder for longer.
Recommended sleep apps - Some apps help you fall asleep, others tell you how restless you slept, and most wake you up in your lightest sleep pattern. Just get used to sleeping close to your phone when you try Sleep Better, Sleep Cycle alarm clock, Relax Melodies.
