Hosting parties is a theatrical experience of sorts. I want the set (my house) to transform the audience (my guests) to another place and time. From the set, to costumes, lighting, props, food, and sound….it’s all part of the show. But the story is not yet written. There’s no script. My treat is to see how it all comes together and how the night unfolds. I get such great satisfaction seeing everyone have fun and really embrace the theme, especially when it’s a party where the guests get to dress the part. I enjoy the entire process. I love looking for new and unique ways to enhance a party, to surprise my guests and move them to another world. I get to be the director, stage manager, set designer and player. They should have an Oscar’s for party planners….oooh I’d love to plan that gala.
