Food is the way to anyones heart, right? After all that dinner and dancing, Pesce says it’s nice to give guests a sweet send off… with food trucks. This is such a fun idea! I wish I was privy to this when I was planning my reception.

“The trend is honing down to making sure there is a sweet treat as your guests head off,” Pesce said. “Classic trucks like an authentic Mr. Softee or Mr. Humor bring a smile and a list of goodies your guests will thank you for. In the cooler months, a zeppole truck or a coffee truck are great options.”

Desserts infused with with alcohol are a classy way to wrap up the dining portion or night… and are always a hit with guests.

Finally, bacon. Because just about everybody loves bacon, a “Bacon Station” is the latest craze. This cocktail hour station is very popular and includes items like chocolate covered bacon at the Inn at New Hyde Park. And bacon is versatile enough to be wrapped around a scallop as a passed hors d'oeuvre or served wrapped in a delicious warm bite-sized cinnamon rolls.
