Bombay Wraps is Chicago’s first fast casual Indian concept focusing on authentic, fresh, and fast Indian wraps in a modern, fun environment. Bombay Wraps took the best of Indian food – complex flavors, rich aromas, abundant variety and delicious slow-cooked recipes – and made it simple, fast and approachable by serving traditional dishes wrapped in flatbread parathas or unwrapped on a salad bowl.
Inspired by the street food of Bombay, India, home of owners Falguni Dewjee and Nik Jain, Bombay Wraps serves the highest quality meats, vegetables and cheeses marinated in a blend of Indian spices wrapped in a flaky paratha or whole wheat roti (Indian flatbreads) or served unwrapped on a salad bowl.
They have two locations, one in the Loop and the other in Streeterville. Both locations are BYO, and Streeterville is targeted to sell beer and wine. Bombay Wraps has a bright, energetic and modern design with hues of purple and red throughout the space. Wooden stools seat 35 people at brushed metal tabletops. A focal point of the restaurant’s design is a large heat map of Bombay hanging on the back wall. Adding to the Indian experience, Bollywood films and music videos play continuously on TVs in the restaurant.
The Streeterville location, the concept’s second location, features a market area where basic Indian provisions and groceries are sold. Bombay Wraps is the first place in Chicago’s downtown area to purchase authentic Indian items such as spices, condiments, snacks and marinades.
