I’ve come to trust over time —
not because life has been easy, but because it hasn’t. We aren’t born confident. Confidence is earned. After all, when’s the last time you saw a five-year-old walking around thinking, I’ve got it all figured out? Confidence is shaped through courage — by taking risks, failing, and choosing to get back up, building resilience one brave moment at a time.
Yet somewhere along the way, we began equating confidence with visibility, with performance, approval, and being noticed. I know this because I lived it. In my younger years, fitting in often felt safer than standing out. Looking back, much of that performance wasn’t driven by agreement or desire, it was driven by fear.
