Can you share what it was like growing up in Chicago and how your father influenced your life?
Growing up in Chicago was great for me. It gave me the mentality of a blue-collar hard-working person. My father reinforced these traits everyday by making my brothers and I do our chores around the house. We also had to get summer jobs to learn responsibility and what it was like to earn a living. It was required that the house be clean, grass cut, and garbage taken out before my parents got home from work. I look back and am totally grateful for that experience.
What lessons from your own dad do you carry into your own parenting today?
Discipline is the flight of the Eagle! With Discipline and hard work a person can go anywhere. Also, keep your mouth closed and don't talk so much. Listening is the key.
