For someone who is a busy professional, that doesn’t have the time to verify and screen through all the online profiles, where do they turn? Don’t give up. I always advise my clients to try something new and think outside of their comfort zone. If you’ve been wanting to learn how to dance, then take that salsa class! Try an open dance night where they give lessons. If you’ve been wanting to learn how to golf, then take a lesson, show up on a weekend, join a random
foursome, meet new people and put
yourself out there. If you’ve been
wanting to take up sailing, then join a
yacht club in your area. Try
something new. If you’re sporty, join
a tennis club or co-ed softball league;
those can be a fun place to start.
Look into local charity events and
fundraisers. Charitable and giving
individuals attend those events, so
not only will you possibly meet
someone new, but you will also feel
good about giving back.
Whenever you leave the house,
expect to run into “The One.” Make
sure to always look and feel your best;
dress to impress and always have
your hair and makeup done. Not only
will you look like a million bucks, but
you will feel like it too. It will help your
confidence and you will attract more
people. Be friendly, outgoing and
genuinely try to get to know new
people. Sometimes we are so closed
off that we are unapproachable. Try to
be open and friendly and invite
people in that will allow them to get
to know you better. So many times, I
hear that people are desperate to be
with someone. Desperation is a huge
turn off. When you want to meet
someone, you need to be 100% secure
and confident with yourself. You
shouldn’t need someone to make you
happy. You should be happy with
yourself and your life. A partner
would just be the cherry on top.
