FLM and our resident film critic, Pamela Powell, hit the Sundance Film Festival. Originating from the need for filmmakers to have a place to learn, develop, and grow in a creative safe space, earned this film festival premier recognition. This year the festival wowed film lovers with over 100 feature films and more stars than the Milky Way!
A typical day in Park City included bumping into Chloe Sevigny, spotting Jane Fonda and eyeing Ethan Hawk as he casually walked to his Sundance abode. These actors had films premiering at the fest opened by Robert Redford at his annual press conference.
Armie Hammer, Joaquin Phoenix, Nick Offerman, Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal were all part of the Sundance experience. The festivities, galas, and of course, the red carpets were all top notch. Female stories, filmmakers, writers, directors and stars were shining brightly in Park City with Laura Dern, Claire McCarthy, Rose Byrne, Kiera Knightley, and even Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in attendance for their films.
