I call February the month of “LOVE”. Not only because Valentine’s Day falls within this month, but also because we show Love towards Black history. Personally, Black history is everyone’s history, no matter what race or religion you may be, we have all helped build this world together and it’s only important that we learn about other peoples’ struggles, accomplishments, and sacrifices that will help us exhibit more love in this world than hate.
When one envisions a “Love” issue, the first thoughts may be topics surrounding romance, relationships, and sex. Although those are features discussed in a few articles, our contributors did an amazing job highlighting other aspects of love that will resonate with you. There is a little something inspiring for everyone in this issue, including our usual, beauty, design, fashion and movies.
When we wake up to dark days or experience some form of hate, it’s important to remember that Love will always prevail in its sincerest state. It’s more necessary than ever today to show love to those that are different from us. In-fact we are more alike than not alike, but to appreciate others it will take less talking and more listening, willful understanding, and sincere love. I hope this month’s Fete Lifestyle Magazine gives you a new level of understanding on a subject or topic that you never knew or heard about and opens your heart in a way that can change your perspective on certain things in your life.
