s the days
grow
shorter and
the sun sets
earlier, we find ourselves
entering what many call
the"dark half" of the year.
This seasonal shift naturally
invites us indoors, urging
us to seek warmth, shelter,
and introspection. It’s a
time when nature reminds
us to rest, hibernate, and
nourish our inner seeds so
they can bloom come spring.
Yet, as nature calls us inward,
the demands of the holiday
season often pulls us
outward. For some, this is a
time of overcommitment and
overwhelm. For others, the
solitude of winter can amplify
feelings of loneliness and
disconnection. Both
experiences, though different,
can feel like a strain on our
nervous systems.
One simple activity I turn to
when I feel stressed is coloring.
So when my dear friend and
fellow certified mindfulness
meditation teacher, Erica
Skone-Rees, emailed me that
she was publishing a coloring
book for stress relief, I scooped
up several copies to share with
friends.
Erica is not your typical wellness coach. And her coloring book, Mindless Meditation Coloring Book: Celestial Blooms, is not your typical coloring book.
After conquering her own health battles with traumatic brain injuries, mold toxicity, and Lyme disease, Erica founded Woven Path Wellness. She helps clients pivot from pain to power using a blend of cutting-edge neuroscience and timeless holistic practices. And as a nervous system regulation coach, Erica helps her clients to build emotional resilience, knowing that healing and connection start with regulation.
