Publisher's Note

Another year is coming to a close as we reflect on all that has taken place over the past twelve months. The saying goes, just one year can make a big difference… on what once was and what will eventually be. A lot has happened around the world that have impacted our lifestyles since last January; a new war, new laws, severe weather, inflation, strikes, and immigration just to name a few. I’ve personally seen a lot of loss as it relates to friends and family that have left us way too soon (RIP J.R., Ceta, Renee, John, Cornell), which is always a reminder of how we must continue to count our daily blessings and remember that tomorrow is never promised.

Not all is bad though. This past year has taught me how to be more resilient, to have more patience, to understand that things aren’t as bad as you think they might be and not as good as you may expect. My favorite highlights from 2023 were watching my oldest son conquer the challenges of his first year of high school, coaching my youngest son’s travel baseball team, celebrating with our closest friends as they sent their kids off to college, and being able to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday back at home. As we move on and into the new year, I pray for your prosperity, patience, and peace. I hope that we will be able to continue to share relevant and interesting lifestyle content that inspires and resonates. Have an amazing holiday and a wonderful new year! Enjoy our FLM December Holiday issue.
