This List Gets Checked More Than Twice

he time has come, and many of us are amping up our
seasonal routines as we catapult into another holiday
season. For some, that looks like cookie baking
parties, shopping, and dinners with friends. Others may increase their self-care practices, as facing expectations and complicated family dynamics can come with extra stress this time of year. Meanwhile, many of our houseless neighbors are taking steps to survive the coming winter months. For me, as someone with the privilege to not have to worry about housing or a seriously dysfunctional family, gearing up for the holidays means transforming my home office into what resembles a company mailroom; I send cards.
