Less Calories. This is normally the time of year that your schedule is full of one holiday party after another. All those parties can lead to a lot of overindulging – unhealthy, albeit delicious, appetizers and too many trips to the bar cart. Kyle Blust of Fit Body Bootcamp Old Town in Chicago reminds us to look on the bright side. No holiday party weight gain. Since we aren’t forced to attend all those holiday parties, we can easily avoid those extra 10 lbs. that often seem to show up by January 2nd of every year. In fact, no excuse to wait until the new year to make your healthy resolutions … again.

Less Spending. This is questionable because some are spending more than ever trying to make life seem like business as usual or to make up for so much disruption. But for many, staying home means not having to spend on travel, new Christmas outfits for the kids, and that perfect NYE dress. No NYE party package, complete with open bar, sit down dinner and champagne toast at midnight. While some might spend more to send gifts afar, many are opting out of gift giving altogether. Out of sight, off the list.
