feeling a little

tired as 2020 comes to a close.

The holidays are here again. While it will be considerably different this year, some of us might be feeling those similar stress levels starting to rise, with the pressure to squeeze in more engagements and tasks as the 25th rolls around. One of the best ways to keep yourself calm this year, and for the start of the new year for that matter, is to prioritize rest.

Does it sound too good to be true? Our modern, fast-paced society idealizes the workaholic who pulls all-nighters and can thrive on just four hours of sleep, while chugging ample espressos and red bulls to make it through the day. This image of a sleep-deprived, industrious worker is more harmful than you might imagine (or want to know about, if you happen to be part of a company culture that doesn’t value quality rest and relaxation as much as putting in the hard work).
