I can't help but notice the years are just flying by. I remember like it was yesterday loading into my mother's '73 candy apple red VW Bug to make the long trek to my grandmother's in Brentwood, California to celebrate Christmas. That ride seemed to take FOREVER, despite it actually only being sixty to seventy-five minutes. "Are we there yet?" I would whine. "How much longer?" I would plead. What seemed in my adolescent mind as an eternity, is now a typical daily commute for many adults--each way. Time no longer stands still. With every decade, time flies a bit faster and I for one could use a little slow down.
