FLM: Real estate is a competitive industry and there is a lot of competition in Chicago. What are the three most important qualities that you and your team bring to the table to attract new clients?
MG: Yes, it is! I feel that my team of 13 (soon to be 14) and I bring so much to the table with having licensed realtors, an operations manager and a marketing director. This team provides more eyes on our listings and more opportunities to bring buyers to our homes. My entire team is required to have full knowledge of our listings and they do their best to help sell.
Having a full-time operations manager allows us to run our business like a well-oiled machine and makes sure we don’t miss anything when it comes to our listings. They also handle all paperwork for both sellers and buyers. My marketing director is also full time and she handles anything and everything when it comes to marketing our homes. She has a marketing checklist and makes our listed homes show in their best light. But the most important aspect of working with the MVP Team is that we pride ourselves on a full-service experience and provide hand holding throughout the entire process from beginning to end.
For example, when I have a new listing opportunity, I give my potential clients my listing booklet which lays out everything about the team, my company Compass, and what we do to get your home sold. At the end of the presentation, I have a list of vendors that I use to help them with anything and everything they may need in order to get their home in the best condition to sell for top dollar. On top of that, we offer a service called Compass Concierge where my company will pay for everything that needs to be done to the home to improve it to sell. This is anywhere from a light to heavy renovation, cleaning, staging, etc. Compass will pay those upfront costs with no hidden fees or interest and you just have to pay it at closing. I know it sounds too good to be true, but it’s not. On top of all this, I started my own staging company about a year and a half ago. I only offer this service to my clients and can stage a partial home or an entire home at a fraction of the cost. This has been beneficial for my clients that choose to list with me. My designer goes into the home and gives all the suggestions to make the home show its very best. She designs with today’s trends and it really has been a game changer for the business.
One other thing that I feel that my team and I bring to the table is that we have lots of experience with investment properties and really work to help our clients gain wealth through real estate. We assist with single or multi-unit properties and Airbnb investment opportunities. Our goals are always to help our clients make the best investments for themselves!
