FLM: Explain your approach to fulfilling the lifestyle goals for the clients you work with.
MG: It’s extremely important to sit down and understand your clients wants and needs and do everything possible to make the match for them. If someone says that they have a dog and wants some green space in the back yard, then I make sure to find exactly that for them. Let’s say someone likes to paint as a hobby, we want to make sure they have a room or a basement with proper lighting to do just that. If they have a few children, I know that storage space and a designated mud room is always going to be a huge need for them. I have a checklist of questions that I ask every client in order to have an extremely good understanding of what their dream property is. As a matter of fact, my favorite question is the last question I ask which is, “If you can describe your dream home, realistically, what would it look like and where would it be?”. This is when we really dig in deeper to get the clients thinking more about what they want in their next home based on
their lifestyle needs.
FLM: As a mother and entrepreneur, compare how you succeed at balancing family life versus achieving your business goals.
MG: This is never an easy one and certainly can’t admit that I have to constantly work on this, but I make sure to follow a schedule. There are 2 days a week that I am committed to picking up my daughter from school and I do not work after that time. I make sure that I can have quality time with her during the week.
