Now, let’s play up those eyes! First, use a matte neutral color around the entire eyelid & brow bone. Then apply your satin, sparkle or shimmer! Remember: saturate and press the color in the center of the eye. Do not sweep or there will be excess fallout. Do not go above the crease. Shimmer reflects light and we don't want to bring that part of the eye forward. Add a darker color to the corner and crease of the eye to create dimension. Don't forget to give some love to your lower lash line! Then, blend, blend, blend! You want to be sure the flow of colors does not create harsh lines. Finally, add your favorite eyeliner and lashes or mascara.

And of course, keep the sparkle in your eyes natural! Eat your carrots (for your Vitamin C), avoid caffeine and wear sunglasses!

Happy Holidays! Makeup By Josie

"The eyes shout out what the lips fear to say." - William Henry

Tis' the Season for glitz & glamour as the night lights dim....

Who says that sparkles should only be on those dresses? Let’s dress up our eyes, ladies! Are you ready for some sparkle & shimmer? All it takes is three easy steps!

1. Moisturize with eye cream: This improves the skin around the eye and helps conceal dark circles and puffiness. My go to eye cream is Korres Black Pines Firming and Lifting from Sephora. It’s amazing!

2. Prime: Eyeshadow primer prevents creasing and makes eyeshadow stay put and last longer. One of my personal favorites is NARS smudge proof eyeshadow base available at Sephora for only $25.00.

3. Apply Shadow: Let me introduce you to one of my favorite palettes: Urban Decay’s ‘Naked Smokey.’ This palette contains 12 glamorous eyeshadow pans, including mattes, satins and sparkles, all with long lasting texture and color! Perfect for our favorite holiday look!
