What’s your favorite part about working with patients in Chicago?
Chicago is such a great place to work. It offers the chance to work with a diverse population of patients. This in turn helps me as a clinician to gain new skills and understanding to effectively manage my patients and provide the best care I can.
Do you have any daily habits or routines that help you stay centered and energized?
I make sure to prioritize movement, outside of the office and day-to-day tasks. Often that comes in the form of a workout in my basement, and if I am short on time, a walk in the neighborhood with my dog, Coco. Each day I make it a priority to get a little time to myself to allow for reflection and reset, especially if things feel overwhelming.
If you could give one piece of advice to other women looking to open their own business, what would it be?
You can do it. It is not going to be easy but lean on other women you know who have done it, and learn from their experiences. You might fail at things along the way, and that's okay. Take the hardships and failures as teaching moments to gain knowledge and confidence that will propel you to success.
What’s next for you and Vivid Smiles? Any exciting projects or goals on the horizon?
Our biggest goal right now is expansion. First, within the practice we have, but ultimately we hope to open more practices and keep the mission of Vivid Smiles expanding into new neighborhoods. We're excited about the future and the opportunity to make a bigger impact in the community.
