caliber of our future relationships." This perspective invites us to examine the underlying dynamics that drive infidelity and open relationships, recognizing that the health of our bonds profoundly influences our lives.

From my perspective, the increasing prevalence of infidelity and the growing interest in open relationships signal a broader shift in how we view commitment. Traditional monogamy, while still cherished by many, may not suit everyone’s needs or desires. This isn't necessarily a reflection of a lack of commitment but rather a sign of evolving relationship dynamics that demand more flexibility and honesty.

Infidelity, often viewed as a betrayal, can also be seen through the lens of unmet needs and desires. Helen Fisher, an anthropologist and relationship researcher, explains, "There’s an old human habit of wanting to try something new and exciting, and if the relationship is unhappy, infidelity can become an option for some people." This insight highlights the importance of addressing dissatisfaction within relationships before it leads to actions that can cause harm. I believe that understanding and addressing these underlying issues can prevent many instances of infidelity and help build stronger, more resilient relationships.
