I have managed to find our tribe of great friends over the last several years that we now consider family. We all are pretty close in age give or take a few years, have kids either in elementary, high school or college, and generally have the same family values. As years pass, our families are becoming closer as we spend certain holidays together and celebrate significant milestones in each other’s lives. A few weeks ago we were invited to our good friends Ken and Amber Johnson’s amazing new home in one of Chicago’s suburbs. Ken was celebrating his 52nd birthday and the Johnson’s were hosting an “all-white” pool party in their back yard. The anticipation for this party was high, well, because who doesn’t like an all-white themed party? As we arrived, the music was bumping, cocktails were flowing, and the weather was perfect. I was decked out in white slacks, white collared shirt, white vest, and all white Pumas. Their backyard was beautifully lit and the moon was shimmering off the pool. The atmosphere was festive and it was a fun night to be hanging with our friends.
