Toronto International Film Festival's Best Movies

n just a few weeks, it’ll be that time of year again—TIFF Time! Filmmakers hold their breath for rave reviews from critics at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in hopes of starting that coveted Oscar buzz. Of course, there are plenty of films at the fest that are also there just hoping to get picked up for distribution so that you can see it the coming months, but TIFF is the showcase of celebrities, lauded directors, and films that will definitely be released before December 31, 2019, the cut-off for Academy Award consideration.
