From Teachings on True Love, Thich Nhat Hahn describes the power of love and how happiness is only possible through love. He goes on to describe how love heals, transforms and brings deep meaning to our lives. “If we learn ways to practice love, compassion, joy and equanimity, we will know how to heal the illnesses of anger, sorrow, insecurity, sadness, hatred, loneliness and unhealthy attachments.”

But this isn’t a new concept. John Lennon sings about unity in his famous song Imagine. Many different religious faiths have tenets based on love. Even politicians have touted the power of love.
