infrastructure, Christina Schutz has built a bridge between visionary design and sustainable business. As the CEO and Founder of The Fashion Foundry Consulting, Schutz has positioned herself as a driving force behind Chicago’s emerging fashion ecosystem—supporting independent designers with the strategy, visibility, and resources needed to transform talent into thriving brands.

Schutz’s career began at the intersection of storytelling and fashion, as she studied journalism at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Early in her career, she held leadership roles as Editor-in-Chief of Her Campus Media, Editor-in-Chief of Style Magazine Today, Co-Founder and Managing Editor of Forward Magazine for the Condé Nast College of Fashion and Associate Editor at Behindthechair.com.

Schutz soon expanded her expertise into the business side of fashion. She completed five marketing certifications and earned a Business of Fashion certification from Parsons School of Design in New York, equipping her with a data-driven approach to brand development. While still a student, she worked as a Social Media Strategist for the luxury brand Corii Burns, a Paris-based fashion label featured multiple times in British Vogue.

Since 2022, she has worked in Chicago as a fashion stylist for runway shows and photo shoots. Her backstage experience extended into fashion show production. It was through this backstage vantage point that Schutz identified a gap in the fashion ecosystem.

While working alongside designers, she noticed a recurring pattern: many possessed technical skill but lacked the business infrastructure necessary to scale their brands. Designers frequently needed assistance with website development, social media strategy, product placement, and brand storytelling.

Recognizing the opportunity to bridge that gap, she launched The Fashion Foundry Consulting.
