that healing begins where letting go starts. Too often, we carry the weight of our past like an invisible chain, dragging it through every new season of our lives. We replay moments where we wish we’d known better, done better, spoken up, or walked away. But the truth is we cannot heal while holding on to the story of who we once were more tightly than the person we’re becoming.

Letting go of the past is about releasing the emotional grip that keeps us stuck in pain, fear, and self-blame. When we hold on to regret, guilt, or shame, we trap ourselves in an old version of reality that no longer exists and doesn’t serve us in a healthy way. The mind re-lives old wounds while the body keeps score, holding on to the emotional weight manifested in tight shoulders, sleepless nights, anxiety, sadness, and anger. Healing begins the moment we give ourselves permission to stop fighting the past and start nurturing the present.

Our histories are often layered with generational pain, systemic injustice, and silent expectations to be strong no matter what. True strength is knowing when to let it go. Many of us were never taught that it’s safe to rest, to grieve, and to forgive ourselves.
