Take us back to the beginning. When did you first feel that pull toward creativity?

In 2008 I was a graphic designer and a model, so the logical conclusion was to mesh the two together. I came up with the idea to enroll in college for fashion design. I packed my bags and headed for the big city of Chicago and have loved it ever since!

You’ve said you love helping women feel beautiful. What does that feeling mean to you personally?

Remembering fondly, the first time I ever made myself something custom fitted to my body and one of a kind, I felt like a million dollars! My goal has been to give every woman that passes through my door that same exact feeling.

How did your time in modeling shape the way you see and design for women today?

It definitely showed me this was something that I was meant to do. I could buy one item for a shoot, either a pair of earrings or shoes and style a whole complete outfit around it. I also learned that I wanted to cater to all sizes because the typical model size is not the norm for the average female body.

What gave you the courage to take the leap and start your own line?

I had a vision to create a fashion

empire from studying the greats. I never wanted to work for anyone, instead, build something from the ground with my own two hands. Things still get scary opening a new shop, but you take it one day at a time and count your blessings.

Your work is so personal to each client. What do you enjoy most about that one-on-one process?

I enjoy getting to know them and their families as I create the perfect garment for their special occasion. They confide in me things they may be self-conscious about, colors they like, etc. It is then my job to design the perfect outfit to make them feel comfortable and beautiful... that million dollar feeling.
