The Power of Proactive Dating
BY TAMMI PICKLE
ou’ll find "the
one" when you
stop looking for
them. We’ve all heard that line, but here’s why that’s just not the case.
"The One" isn’t just going to show up at your door. This is the real world, and you won’t meet anyone by sitting on your couch and waiting. You must be proactive about meeting new people. Take up a hobby or a sport, go to the gym, make plans with friends, watch a game at a bar or restaurant, and engage and get out in your community. Be ready to meet and mingle! The more you put yourself in situations where you can meet like-minded people, the better your chances of finding a meaningful connection.
Relationships take effort. Whether it’s a friendship, a family bond, or a romantic relationship, they all require time and attention. Nurture these connections, and they will grow stronger. A relationship is a two-way street, requiring both people to invest time, energy, and consideration. Prioritize your relationships that bring joy, support, and growth into your life.
