Publisher's Note
April is our fashion issue—typically a celebration of glitz, glamour, and the ever-evolving trends set by celebrities and influencers. But this month, we’ve chosen to redefine what fashion means, shifting the spotlight from the expected to something profoundly powerful.
Our cover story isn't about runway models or red carpet looks. Instead, it features women who embody a different kind of strength. These are survivors of domestic abuse—women who have endured, risen above, and are now reclaiming their voices and their power. This month, they step onto the runway not as victims, but as victors—showcasing not just fashion, but the courage it takes to walk away from pain and toward healing.
These are not the faces you’d expect, and that’s precisely the point. Abuse doesn’t have a “look.” It hides in plain sight, behind polished smiles and carefully curated lives. Which is why their stories matter so deeply. They remind us that we never truly know what someone is going through—and that beauty, true beauty, radiates from within.
Watching Lindsey and Janet transform during our photoshoot—laughing, glowing, owning every moment—was a moving experience. The makeup, the clothes, the lights… yes, it was fabulous. But the real transformation came from within. They are proof that healing is possible, and hope is powerful.
It’s an honor to share their stories in this issue. My hope is that their bravery not only inspires others but also offers a reminder: fashion may change with the seasons, but the power of authenticity, resilience, and inner beauty never goes out of style.
