Explain your motivation for pursuing fitness excellence after your playing days were over and why it has not only become your profession, but your passion.

I see my motivation for pursuing fitness excellence rather as continued momentum for pursuing a healthy lifestyle I’m passionate to experience every day. Full transparency, I had no targeted intention of fitness becoming my profession and contrary to what my career looks like on social media; I am not a full-time personal trainer or instructor nor have I ever been. I consider myself a health advocate who partners with communities and companies to build sustainable habits for better health through workshops, group strength classes, digital fitness, and speaking engagements. Additionally, I help high-performing women design sustainable systems and develop habits to better position their health at the center of their daily hustle as a career woman, partner, mom, friend, all the hats’ women wear at once. I’m also an Athlete Mental Health Specialist with Onrise Care where I support professional athletes both in and out of season navigate their unique experience.

My life interpreted on social media as my career is genuinely the capture of my daily lifestyle – if social media wasn’t around I would wake up every day in pursuit of answering two questions, (1) “What do I need to do today to feel most taken care of?”, and (2) “What will I do today to move the needle forward and be one percent better than who I was yesterday?”

In witnessing the premature death of both of my parents and the impact to their health from chronic stress and lack of resources, I’m on a mission to change the narrative of my generational health.
