I’m fresh off of my spring break trip from Mexico, but yet I feel like I need another vacation to recover from all the eating and drinking I did while sitting poolside. It felt awesome lying in the sun for hours at a time with no real agenda to be anywhere at any specific time other than dinner at night. This was the type of vacation where the only thing you really cared about was what comfortable wardrobe were you going to wear at dinner. The dress code at most of the restaurants at our resort was casual, but there were a few spots that required you to step up your game. After being in swim trunks all day, I welcomed the idea to dress up a little nicer to enjoy a nice dinner with the family. In my opinion, even while on vacation you can still be somewhat stylish, even if it’s for a couple hours at night.
This month I wanted to have a little fun with our fashion issue. I’m excited to feature some of the best dressed men in Chicago as our cover story. These four guys definitely have their own sense of style and the confidence to pull off whatever they’re wearing at any time. In this day and age fashion is whatever you make of it. When I started my professional career in corporate America, I never thought I would see the day when business casual was the norm and wearing sneakers with suits was acceptable, but I think that it’s fantastic and actually helps more people feel comfortable and be more productive at work.
