ll the recent fashion trends seem to have been recycled from past decades.

70’s

Flare jeans and sleeves reminiscent of the 70s are especially popular again. Looser and more breathable fabrics are comfortable and easy for the day to day, but paired with some platform shoes it can dress it up for the evening. These trends represent a free spirit and carefree attitude, which I love. It’s effortlessly cute and comfortable for every season and for all occasions.

Bold sunglasses

Bold sunglasses have made a huge comeback this year and there are so many types to reflect each person’s personality. There’s aviators, which are universally flattering and classic; the transparent ones with the tint of color for those who like to stay on theme with the 70’s trend, and so many more. My personal favorites are the colorful, reflective sunglasses. You can see them from a mile away and they can amplify any outfit. I love being able to add a statement piece to my outfit in order to show my personality and add a little flare to a relatively basic outfit.

Monochrome

I have been loving monochrome lately! Wearing all one color and varying shades of a specific color is not only trendy, but it is also such a classic look. If you are bold and trendy, try wearing a bright color such as red or pink. If you are looking for a more polished or work appropriate way to wear this trend, try wearing a neutral color such as black, gray, or tan. Monochrome is a sure fire way to get noticed; whether it’s bold or neutral, it attracts attention.

Matching Sets

If you are someone who loves wearing dresses because you have a whole outfit in one piece of clothing, you will love a matching set. Usually a set is comprised of a nice shirt- typically a tank top or crop top- and some high waisted pants, shorts, or a skirt. The outfit is designed to be worn together and makes looking for a cute outfit ten times easier, but it can also be worn separately to create more options. It’s perfect for spring and summer and can be worn for all occasions and for any person’s style. It exudes a cute, but effortless vibe and is universally flattering.

Streetwear

“Athleisure” has definitely been my favorite trend of the past year. I love to dress comfortably and cute, but sometimes that feels impossible to achieve together. Athleisure has allowed me to throw on a T-shirt and joggers and still look presentable. Sneakers have also been really big lately. It is practically a fashion staple to have a nice pair of sneakers to wear, whether its converse, pumas, nikes, or my personal favorite adidas. When I wear athleisure I’m valuing my comfort over everything, but I still want to keep up with trends and show my sportier side.
