In my neck of the woods, the arrival of spring signals three very important things. Taxes, warmer weather and a different wardrobe. The latter two are better received by most folks and something that we all look forward to. However, there also seems to be changing attitudes that accompany April and May; attitudes that are much more optimistic, fun, adventurous and eager to get the day started. Maybe it’s because the days are longer, affording us the opportunity to explore and indulge in more activities. Or maybe it’s because we know that summer is right around the corner. Whatever the case, I’m happy that it’s here!
I’m also happy about April’s FLM spring issue, which will keep savvy fashionistas updated on the latest trends from around the world. This month we look at what’s chic from the runways in America to the coffee shops in Spain and discover the fashionable traditions that accompany the Persian New Year. Not only will we help to update your wardrobe, but keep you beautified with makeup products that are easy on your wallet. Our interior design expert shows us how to bring the runway into your home with visual comparisons of models on the catwalk to furniture in your living room. However, not everyone has the ability to put it altogether when it comes to fashion, which is pointed out in a hilarious tone by one of our new contributors.
Conversations surrounding film and entertainment continue to be integral for FLM, and this month we’re excited to shine a spotlight on Chaz Ebert from Eberfest.
Also, sometimes finding your true talent is not easy, but following the power of projection can help it become unleashed.
Finally, if you’re feeling uninspired by social media lately that is about to change. We introduce you to several women of color that will awaken your social media spirit and keep you motivated.
