What is this ever important altruism? According to merriam webster it is “Feelings and behavior that show a desire to help other people and a lack of selfishness.” Guys, if you are generally thoughtful and demonstrate that you care about others, women will take notice.
You might be wondering, is there anything else? I believe it was Steve Harvey who said “chivalry isn’t dead, it just isn’t required anymore.” Well guys, if you want to make your woman swoon or get that girl you’ve had your eye on, bring on the chivalry. Regardless of how successful or empowered she is, when a man is chivalrous, he is attractive. You don’t have to go over the top, simple things such as holding the door open for her, opening her car door to make sure she gets in safely (before you do) and making sure to walk on the street side of the sidewalk, are just a few examples of how to be chivalrous. These things go a REALLY long way. Whether you are recently introduced, married or dating, there is rarely anything more attractive than a man who makes sure his woman is safe.
A few other characteristics that get honorable mention are confidence, intellect, social skills and sense of humor. Just to be clear, confidence should not be confused with arrogance. Again remember, altruism goes a long way with us. Confidence is based on how comfortable a man feels within himself. He’s self assured but also mindful and kind to others. Add in a clever sense of humor and this combo, well, that just knocks women’s socks off.
So whether you are trying to steam things up in your relationship or just get the balling rolling with a woman, get back to these basics. Get busy polishing up your character and don’t forget to take good care of your physical appearance. Making a woman feel valued, appreciated and safe is a sure fire aphrodisiac.
