who played a major role in winning
Gold for Hereford in this summer’s
‘Britain in Bloom’ competition.
Despite cutbacks by Herefordshire
Council the team rallied round to
support Hereford in Bloom’s plans
to buy the plants for the beds and
planters around the city. Chairman
Trevor Swindells said “the team
deserve our highest praise they did
a great job ensuring the city looked
bright and cheerful.” Sean Pockett
who is already designing the flower
schemes for next summer said “this
is more than just a job for us we’re
hugely proud that the planting
schemes we nurtured proved such
a big hit with the ‘Britain in Bloom’
judges and the team is determined
that the city retains its Gold status
next year.
