Where do my sponsorship / admission / raffle and cookie dollars go ?
Over the past 24 years , The Festival of Trees has raised over $ 4 million dollars for the community outreach initiatives and specifically needed medical equipment for the local hospital and cancer center . The community has embraced the event not only as a source of entertainment for their families , but as an avenue in helping to fund much needed services , initiatives , and resources for our community . With the operation being transferred to Balloons Over Vermilion , NFP , you can be assured the funds raised will be reinvested in the community just as we have done with proceeds from the balloon event . Under the transfer agreement with OSF a portion of the proceeds for the first five years will be donated to the OSF Foundation for specific renovation and equipment needs of the local hospital . The balance of the proceeds will be donated to local initiatives dedicated to youth and family causes .
