From coast to coast across the country,
the Home Routes series is committed
to bringing touring musicians to rural
& remote areas. Elkford has featured
on the Heartland Ramble route for
several years now and welcomes a
variety of English and French-speaking
singer-songwriters in an intimate ‘house
concert’ environment at the Elkford
Mountain Meadows Clubhouse. The
2020 winter lineup features Sweden-
based Celtic folk artist Ray Cooper on
February 6th, Metis singer-songwriter &
fiddle player Sierra Noble on March 6th
and Toronto based Kalyna Rakel with her
unique blend of Americana-folk-blues
on April 4th.

The CP Holiday Train is a highly
anticipated biannual event! The festive
glowing train will be arriving in the Elk
Valley on Wednesday, December 11th,
stopping at Sparwood from 3:10 – 3:45
PM, and Fernie from 4:45 – 5:30 PM.
Country music is on the ticket this year
with Juno award winning Terri Clark being
joined by Juno nominee and lead singer
of Default, Dallas Smith. The Holiday
Train has raised more than $15M since
its inauguration in 1999; bring a canned
item to donate to the cause. Experience the festive holiday season at
Fernie Alpine Resort whether you’re a
skier, snowboarder or neither! Everyone
is welcome to enjoy the magic of
Christmas.
