As you stroll , drop by Fernie ’ s coffee shops and boutique stores to find art-for-sale and unique local gifts . Locations include Gi ’ ver Shirtworks , Infinitea , Polar Peek Books & Treasures , Freshies , Coal Town Goods , Big Bang Bagels , The Green Petal and Ace Ferguson Pop-up Shop .
Around Fernie there ’ s even more to discover including guerilla art by Aiden Lindsay , Liam Monaghan , and Milarkey behind The Royal and The Castle on First , and an entire house hand-painted by Troy Cook behind the Raging Elk Hostel .
A 60ft historical mural can be seen inside the TD Bank , and a variety of artisan glass windows both old and new , can be seen at several historical buildings . Watch for pop-up art displays and exhibits appearing in town as Fernie ’ s artists explore new ways to share their work .
