Kicking off with a cultural community dinner on Thursday evening, festivities continue with Art after Dark, literary events and live music. Explore Fernie’s architectural heritage with Doors Open and guided interpretive tours and enjoy the atmosphere of Heritage & Art on the lawn. On Sunday, the Fall Fair brings together traditional homestead crafts, livestock and garden skills. Classic carnival games, blue ribbon contests and demonstrations will keep the whole family entertained, with plenty of live music, the Mountain Market and food vendors to round out the weekend. Come join us as we celebrate pride, diversity, and inclusion in the beautiful mountain town of Fernie. This event is hosted by the Fernie Pride Society. 34 FALL AT THE ARTS STATION theartstation.com After a foot-stomping season of summer concerts and creativity for kids, the Fernie Arts Station resets for the fall season. Indie Films Fernie is a monthly screening of a top Canadian or international feature film, held on the second Sunday of every month from September to April. The series returns on September 8 at 5pm at the Vogue Theatre. Gallery shows continue in the fall, with a free opening reception held at 7pm on the last Thursday of every month. Burgers and Birds by Beth Gallup and Roni Jurgen opens on September 26, and But, do you see in colour? by Jennifer van Popta opens on October 31.
