series begins with an artist’s talk
on June 23 and continues with live
painting in the gallery on June 30,
July 7, and August 11. Each session
will run from 1:30-3pm, free with
museum admission. Finally, a Plein Air
workshop from 10:00am – 3:00pm
will give aspiring artists a chance to
paint alongside Michael Hepher, learn
his methods and share his inspiration.

The Fernie Museum’s walking tours
return this summer with a captivating
and expanded program of tours for
the whole family to enjoy. New for
2018, explore Fernie’s role in the
Great War. Discover the history of
the recruitment office, the impact of
the union newspaper, and the reality
of internment on the immigrant
population. As we approach the 100th
anniversary of the end of the Great
War, the Fernie Museum examines how
the global conflict reflected on local
life. The popular Rum Runners and
Great Fire tours will also be available.
