Library
The Fernie Heritage Library has
provided library service and programs
for over one hundred years to the
community of Fernie. Housed in
a beautiful historic building in the
heart of Fernie, the Library offers
a welcoming and inviting space for
discovery, inspiration, and recreation.
Over 50,000 people visit the
library annually and the Library has
been recognized for its excellence
in community programming and
engagement.
A range of engaging programming
suitable for all ages, from toddlers to
seniors, is offered throughout the year
both inside the library and out in the
community. Programs include reading
groups and book launches, children’s
activities inspired by literature, and
special events such as the Ride with
Librarians and Lego Engineers Day.
All programs are free and everyone is
welcome to attend. The Library offers
three floors of books, magazines, and
reference materials, plus a research and
study room, computer services, faxing,
photocopying and scanning.
